In the last few years, Midlothian has welcomed exciting developments, including a Courtyard by Marriott which opened doors in January 2016 across from the Midlothian Conference Center.

Developed by Gatehouse Capital, the upscale 102-room hotel has served as an influential catalyst for Midlothian’s economic and social landscape.

Midlothian’s financial metrics, rising projected household income, escalating home prices, and its thriving business base have drawn the interest of additional DFW developers, as well.

Most recently, the Midlothian Towne Crossing shopping center is taking shape along the city’s Highway 287 corridor.

Project developer Weber and Company was drawn by Midlothian’s evolving trade area which is anticipated to reach 70,000 people in the next three to four years.

The 53-acre Midlothian Towne Crossing development is anchored by Kroger Marketplace and has already secured leases with Ulta, Jo-Ann, Petco, Panda Express, Famous Footwear, Ross, Burke’s and Chick-fil-A. Additional tenant announcements are pending.

As an emerging market, Midlothian is rapidly proving a preferred address for expanding retail, hospitality, and dining establishments.
