Promotional grant launched by Economic Development to boost local businesses
Midlothian, TX –Promotional grants are being offered by Midlothian Economic Development (MED) to support local business efforts to attract customers to the city. This program provides financial reimbursement to eligible businesses, including non-profits, by reimbursing up to 50% of advertising expenses upon the completion of their promotional campaigns.
Program Categories
The program offers two distinct categories to ensure diverse business participation:
- Made in Midlothian:
This category supports businesses that produce goods or services exported beyond the region. Businesses occupying less than 40,000 square feet can apply to receive reimbursement for advertising expenses. Promotional materials must prominently feature the phrase “Made in Midlothian, TX” or “Made in Texas.” Eligible businesses may receive a maximum reimbursement of $5,000. - Shop & Dine in Midlothian:
Designed to promote local restaurants, entertainment venues, events, and brick-and-mortar retailers, this category encourages campaigns targeting customers outside Midlothian city limits. Advertising must prominently highlight Midlothian and comply with specific program guidelines. Businesses in this category are also eligible for up to $5,000 in reimbursement.
How It Works
Eligible businesses can submit an application to MED and, upon approval, receive reimbursement after completing their promotional campaigns and providing verification of expenses. Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to campaigns with the earliest completion date.
