The Midlothian Business Expansion Pitch Competition is designed for businesses ready to grow right here in Midlothian.
Whether you’re planning to:

This competition gives you the opportunity to compete for funding and resources to make it happen.
Competition Structure
Two Categories
- Micro/ Home Based Businesses: For smaller businesses or home-based operations ready for their next step.
- Open Category: For established businesses pursuing growth or expansion.
Applications now closed
- Application Period: Participants must submit an online application, including a business plan and a no more than 3-minute pitch video.
- Record a short video (3 minutes or less) answering one simple question: “What would you do with $10,000 and how would it benefit your business?” Your video will only be viewed internally by our selection committee; don’t worry about production quality. A phone video is perfectly fine.
- Finalist Selection: A select number of finalists will be chosen from each category to advance to the Final Pitch Event. The selection will be done by the Chamber Education and Workforce Committee.

Everyone who RSVP’s will get a free meal ticket when they attend the event. RSVP is not required to attend the event.
