Midlothian Businesses Could Compete for Up to $10,000 in the Midlothian Business Pitch Competition

Applications are now open for the Midlothian Business Pitch Competition, a competition designed to help local businesses bring their next big idea to life. Businesses can compete for up to $10,000 to support growth initiatives such as purchasing equipment, enhancing facilities, expanding services, or pursuing other investments that strengthen their operations.

The competition features two categories: a Micro/Home-Based Business category and an Open Category for established Midlothian businesses. Selected finalists will receive a professionally produced promotional video highlighting their business and will take the stage at a live pitch event on September 10 to present their vision before judges and the community.

If your business has a plan for growth and just needs the resources to make it happen, this competition is for you. Applications are available on MED’s website.

Eligible businesses investing at least $10,000 in qualifying projects may receive reimbursement of up to $50,000 upon project completion. Whether you’re expanding operations, purchasing equipment, or making other capital improvements, this program is intended to encourage continued investment in Midlothian’s economy while supporting quality job creation.

Businesses interested in learning more are encouraged to contact MED staff before beginning their project to discuss eligibility requirements and next steps.
