Meet the Winners of Midlothian’s 2026 Pitch Competition
Six local businesses took the stage on September 10 at Union 28 to share their ideas for growth during the 2026 Midlothian Business Pitch Competition.
The event brought together approximately 170 to 200 community members, business owners, and supporters to hear from local entrepreneurs and learn more about their plans for the future.
This year’s competition featured two categories: Open and Micro/Home-Based. Congratulations to the 2026 winners:

The Pitch Competition is part of Midlothian Business Academy and gives established local businesses an opportunity to share a specific growth idea and compete for funding to help put that idea into action.

Construction Underway on Downtown Parking Lot
Construction is underway on the new public parking lot at 200 W. Railway Avenue in downtown Midlothian.

The project will add 112 additional public parking in the downtown area and provide more parking for businesses, customers, and visitors.
Medline
Construction is underway on Medline’s new facility at Crossroads Logistics Park along North Ward Road. The project represents a significant investment in Midlothian and is expected to bring more than 150 new jobs to the community once complete.
Sanderson Pipe Groundbreaking
Sanderson Pipe Corporation recently broke ground on its new facility in Midlothian. The 54-acre project will include a 194,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and is expected to create more than 70 jobs. Construction is anticipated to be completed in late 2027, with production beginning in early 2028.
Midlothian Governor's Small Business Summit
Midlothian Economic Development, in partnership with the Midlothian Chamber of Commerce, will host the Governor’s Small Business Summit on November 5 at the Midlothian Conference Center.

The event will provide an opportunity for local businesses to connect, hear from local speakers, and learn about resources and ways to strengthen their businesses.
